West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence knocks off Bluefield

February 5, 2025: Coal City, WV 25823

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Independence Patriots basketball team scored a good 46-31 win over the Bluefield Beavers.

The Patriots (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Greenbrier East (Lewisburg, WV). The Spartans come into the Freelance contest with a 16-0 record. In their last contest, Greenbrier East defeated Charleston Catholic (Charleston, WV), 55-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Beavers battle the PikeView Panthers (Princeton, WV) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Bluefield will attempt to better on its 0-14 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 8-9 record after their 59-50 league loss to Summers County (Hinton, WV).
