The Volcano Vista Hawks basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Sandia Matadors to 51 in the Hawks non-league victory on Monday.

The Hawks now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cibola for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 8.

The Matadors (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Eldorado was defeated by Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM), 50-49, in a non-league contest.
