Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Edgewood Bulldogs (Edgewood, TX) and the host Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX), saw Edgewood's basketball squad overcome Chisum by a tally of 54-40.

With the victory, Edgewood improves its record to 25-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rains (Emory, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 22-11. Rains won 59-46 in their recent league challenge against Commerce (Commerce, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX) in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Chisum will attempt to improve on its 14-19 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 42-25 league win over Prairiland (Pattonville, TX).
