Alvord Bulldogs (Alvord, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chico Dragons (Chico, TX), 86-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Alvord upgrades its record to 19-14 on the season. The Bulldogs host Tioga (Tioga, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region II District 13 bout on Friday, February 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 9-14. Tioga won 52-42 in their recent non-league bout against Forestburg (Forestburg, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 bout, on Friday, February 9. Chico will attempt to upgrade on its 3-26 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 59-47 league loss to Era (Era, TX).
