Texas High School Basketball - Coronado can't hold off Cooper

The Coronado Mustangs basketball team (Lubbock, TX), was nudged 49-42 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 11-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lubbock-Cooper for a 5A Region I District 4 battle on Friday, February 9. Cooper will battle a Pirates team coming off a 65-49 league win over Wylie (Abilene, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 20-9.
The Mustangs (18-13) will now prepare for their battle against Monterey (Lubbock, TX). The Plainsmen come into the 5A Region I District 4 battle with a 15-16 record. In their last battle, Monterey edged Lubbock (Lubbock, TX), 63-35, in a league battle.
