The Girard Yellowjackets (Girard, PA) basketball felled the visiting Fairview Tigers (Fairview, PA), 56-43 in Tuesday's league test.
The Yellowjackets (17-2) will now prepare for their test against Northwestern (Albion, PA). The Wildcats go into the District 10 Region 3 test with a 0-17 record. In their last test, Northwestern was beaten by Seneca (Erie, PA), 63-26, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host North East for a non-league test on Friday, February 9. Fairview will encounter a Grape Pickers squad coming off a 56-43 non-league win over Iroquois (Erie, PA). The Grape Pickers record now stands at 12-6.
