North Carolina High School Basketball - Surry Central overwhelms Forbush

February 6, 2024: East Bend, NC 27018

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) and the host Forbush Falcons (East Bend, NC), saw Surry Central's basketball squad wallop Forbush by a tally of 79-42.

With the victory, Surry Central improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to North Wilkes (Hays, NC) to confront the Vikings in a 2A Foothills challenge on Friday, February 9. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 10-9. North Wilkes won 61-46 in their recent league challenge against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)

Next up, the Falcons battle the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a 2A Foothills contest, on Friday, February 9. Forbush will attempt to better on its 1-17 season record. The Cardinals come into the contest with a 8-13 record after their 85-58 non-league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC).
