Houlton Shiretowners (Houlton, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fort Fairfield Tigers (Fort Fairfield, ME), 51-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Houlton upgrades its record to 4-14 on the season.

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a C North bout, on Thursday, February 8. Fort Fairfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 69-35 non-league win over Ashland (Ashland, ME).
