In Tuesday's league outing, the Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX), by a count of 68-46.

The Mustangs (8-21) will now prepare for their match against White Oak (White Oak, TX). The Roughnecks enter the 3A Region II District 15 match with a 8-22 record. In their last match, White Oak was ripped by Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX), 70-29, in a league match.

With the defeat, Gladewater moves to 3-23 on the year. The Bears travel to New Diana (Diana, TX) to face the Eagles in a 3A Region II District 15 match on Friday, February 9. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 11-13. New Diana lost 68-46 in their recent league match against Sabine (Gladewater, TX)
