The Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) basketball felled the visiting Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX), 51-31 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (7-15) will now prepare for their test against Grapeland (Grapeland, TX). The Sandies go into the 2A Region III District 20 test with a 22-10 record. In their last test, Grapeland thwarted Leon (Jewett, TX), 86-47, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 11-20 record. They play next when they travel to Lovelady for a 2A Region III District 20 test on Friday, February 9. Latexo will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 58-39 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, TX). The Lions record now stands at 7-9.
