Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wheeler Mustangs (Wheeler, TX), 56-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Quanah upgrades its record to 18-12 on the season. The Indians host Memphis (Memphis, TX) to play the Cyclones in a 2A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, February 9. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 8-15.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) in a 2A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, February 9. Wheeler will attempt to upgrade on its 19-8 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 41-35 league win over Wellington (Wellington, TX).
