The Smyrna Eagles basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Caesar Rodney Riders to 41 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Polytech for a Henlopen - Northern contest on Thursday, February 8. Smyrna will battle a Panthers team coming off a 53-27 league win over Sussex Central (Georgetown, DE). The Panthers record now stands at 5-11.
The Riders (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Dover (Dover, DE). The Senators enter the Henlopen - Northern contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Dover ran past Sussex Tech (Georgetown, DE), 46-40, in a league contest.
