In Tuesday's league outing, the Polk County West [Climax/Fisher] Knights (Climax, MN) basketball squad felled the visiting Fertile-Beltrami Falcons (Fertile, MN), by a margin of 56-36.

The Knights (9-10) will now prepare for their outing against Fosston (Fosston, MN). The Greyhounds go into the A Section 8 outing with a 19-2 record. In their last outing, Fosston thwarted Win-E-Mac (Erskine, MN), 67-20, in a league outing.

The Falcons now own a 10-13 record. They play next when they travel to Cass Lake-Bena for a A Section 8 outing on Friday, February 9. Fertile-Beltrami will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 74-58 non-league win over Pine River-Backus (Pine River, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 15-4.
