Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Lake City Tigers (Lake City, MN) and the host Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), saw Lake City's basketball squad knock off Pine Island by a count of 61-51.

With the victory, Lake City upgrades its record to 12-14 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Zumbrota-Mazeppa (Zumbrota, MN) to play the Cougars in a AA Section 1 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 10-14. Zumbrota-Mazeppa lost 61-29 in their recent league challenge against Lourdes (Rochester, MN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Goodhue Wildcats (Goodhue, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Pine Island will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 19-5 record after their 67-62 non-league loss to Byron (Byron, MN).
