Pershing County Mustangs (Lovelock, NV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Silver Stage Nighthawks (Silver Springs, NV), 55-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Pershing County upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV) to play the Bighorns in a 2A Northern bout on Friday, February 9. The Bighorns go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Oasis Academy lost 51-23 in their recent league bout against North Tahoe (Tahoe City, CA)

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Yerington Lions (Yerington, NV) in a 2A Northern bout, on Saturday, February 10. Silver Stage will attempt to advance on its 3-17 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 16-9 record after their 58-27 league win over Coral Academy of Science - Reno (Reno, NV).
