The West Side Roughriders basketball team (Newark, NJ), was overwhelmed 52-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Science Park Chargers (Newark, NJ)

The Chargers now possess a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paramus Catholic for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 10. Science Park will battle a Paladins team coming off a 56-34 league loss to Immaculate Heart Academy (Washington Township, NJ). The Paladins record now stands at 6-15.

The Roughriders (0-13) will now prepare for their battle against Barringer (Newark, NJ). The Blue Bears come into the Super Essex - Freedom battle with a 2-14 record. In their last battle, Barringer was overwhelmed by Arts (Newark, NJ), 30-13, in a non-league battle.
