The Mountaineers now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosman for a non-league battle on Friday, February 9. Mitchell will confront a Tigers team coming off a 62-12 non-league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-11.

The Cougars (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, Madison was nudged by Avery County (Newland, NC), 40-16, in a league battle.
