Mississippi High School Basketball - St. Stanislaus nips West Marion

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting St. Stanislaus Rock-a-Chaws basketball team scored a close 56-51 triumph over the West Marion Trojans.
The Rock-a-Chaws (17-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS). The Fighting Irish go into the 3A Region 8 contest with a 10-18 record. In their last contest, St. Patrick nipped Tylertown (Tylertown, MS), 37-34, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers (Meridian, MS) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. West Marion will attempt to better on its 11-15 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 12-9 record after their 49-48 non-league loss to McLaurin (Florence, MS).
