The Iola Mustangs basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Osawatomie Trojans to 17 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now have a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Chanute for a non-league contest on Friday, February 7. Iola will battle a Blue Comets team coming off a 57-26 league win over Parsons (Parsons, KS). The Blue Comets record now stands at 2-11.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS) in a Pioneer contest, on Friday, February 7. Osawatomie will attempt to better on its 0-12 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 45-34 league win over Prairie View (La Cygne, KS).
