In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Iola Mustangs basketball team scored a big 57-17 win over the Osawatomie Trojans.

The Mustangs (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Chanute (Chanute, KS). The Blue Comets come into the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Chanute smashed Parsons (Parsons, KS), 57-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS) in a Pioneer contest, on Friday, February 7. Osawatomie will attempt to better on its 0-12 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 45-34 league win over Prairie View (La Cygne, KS).
