The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Rock Hill Redmen (Ironton, OH) and the host South Point Pointers (South Point, OH), observed Rock Hill's basketball team edge South Point by a margin of 47-44.
The Redmen (7-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Big Blacks come into the non-league challenge with a 4-16 record. In their last challenge, Point Pleasant edged Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV), 50-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Pointers battle the Portsmouth West Senators (West Portsmouth, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 8. South Point will attempt to better on its 10-11 season record. The Senators come into the challenge with a 12-9 record after their 45-34 league loss to Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH).
