In Tuesday's league outing, the Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV) basketball squad edged the visiting Grafton Bearcats (Grafton, WV), by a count of 62-55.

The Mountaineers (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Doddridge County (West Union, WV). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 10-7 record. In their last outing, Doddridge County held off Braxton County (Sutton, WV), 69-62, in a league outing.

The Bearcats now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to South Harrison for a non-league outing on Thursday, February 9. Grafton will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 90-58 non-league win over Calhoun (Mt. Zion, WV). The Hawks record now stands at 16-1.
