Martin Luther Spartans (Greendale, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host The Prairie School Hawks (Racine, WI), 72-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Martin Luther upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Spartans host Shoreland Lutheran (Somers, WI) to play the Pacers in a Metro Classic bout on Saturday, February 11. The Pacers go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Shoreland Lutheran lost 52-28 in their recent league bout against St. Joseph (Kenosha, WI)

Next up, the Hawks play the Racine Lutheran Crusaders (Racine, WI) in a Metro Classic bout, on Friday, February 10. The Prairie School will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 70-46 league loss to St. Catherine's (Racine, WI).
