Paynesville Bulldogs (Paynesville, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Royalton Royals (Royalton, MN), 60-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Paynesville upgrades its record to 13-5 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Redwood Valley (Redwood Falls, MN) to clash with the Cardinals in a AA Section 3 bout on Thursday, February 9. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Redwood Valley lost 77-59 in their recent non-league bout against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN)

Next up, the Royals clash with the Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN) in a AA Section 6 bout, on Friday, February 10. Royalton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Huskers go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 67-56 non-league loss to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (Grove City, MN).
