The Poteet Pirates topped the host Samuell Spartans basketball team by a final score of 48-31 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Pirates face the North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 game, on Friday, February 10. Poteet will attempt to move on its 13-16 season record. The Stallions enter the game with a 19-12 record after their 49-46 league win over Spruce (Dallas, TX).

The Dragons enter the game with a record of 8-17. Seagoville won 56-44 in their recent league game against Conrad (Dallas, TX)
