Villa Walsh Academy Vikings (Morristown, NJ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Academy of St. Elizabeth Panthers (Convent Station, NJ), 48-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Villa Walsh Academy upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Mountain Lakes (Mountain Lakes, NJ) to play the Lakers in a Freelance bout on Thursday, February 9. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Mountain Lakes won 39-28 in their recent non-league bout against Academy of St. Elizabeth (Convent Station, NJ)

Next up, the Panthers play the Whippany Park Wildcats (Whippany, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Academy of St. Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 51-49 non-league loss to Parsippany (Parsippany, NJ).
