Narraguagus Knights (Harrington, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME), 34-27 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Narraguagus upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Knights host Machias (Machias, ME) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 14-3. Machias won 56-30 in their recent non-league bout against Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME)

Next up, the Mariners play the Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. Deer Isle-Stonington will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 58-37 league loss to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME).
