The Haddam-Killingworth Cougars basketball team (Higganum, CT), was nudged 62-56 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT)

The Thunderbirds now possess a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morgan for a Shoreline battle on Friday, February 10. North Branford will battle a Huskies team coming off a 57-26 league loss to East Hampton (East Hampton, CT). The Huskies record now stands at 7-11.

The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Valley Regional (Deep River, CT). The Warriors come into the Shoreline battle with a 15-3 record. In their last battle, Valley Regional edged Cromwell (Cromwell, CT), 41-35, in a league battle.
