North Carolina High School Basketball - Union nudges Hobbton

In Tuesday's league outing, the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), by a count of 3-1.

The Spartans (11-8) will now prepare for their outing against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars go into the 1A Conference 10 outing with a 11-12 record. In their last outing, Neuse Charter was tipped by Lakewood (Roseboro, NC), 62-51, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now hold a 1-17 record. They play next when they travel to North Duplin for a 1A Conference 10 outing on Friday, February 10. Hobbton will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 60-36 league win over Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 18-1.
