Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), 68-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Oceanside upgrades its record to 17-0 on the season. The Mariners travel to Mount View (Thorndike, ME) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Mount View won 45-35 in their recent league bout against Maine Central Institute (Pittsfield, ME)

Next up, the Hornets play the Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Leavitt will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 48-36 non-league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME).
