North Carolina High School Basketball - Shelby routs Thomas Jefferson

In Tuesday's league outing, the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), by a count of 60-35.

The Golden Lions (20-1) will now prepare for their outing against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs go into the 1A/2A Conference 40 outing with a 8-13 record. In their last outing, Burns smashed East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC), 36-26, in a league outing.

The Gryphons now hold a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Cherryville for a 1A/2A Conference 40 outing on Friday, February 10. Thomas Jefferson will clash with a Ironmen squad coming off a 34-28 league loss to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Ironmen record now stands at 3-19.
