The West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC) basketball crushed the visiting North Pitt Panthers (Bethel, NC), 69-29 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (14-4) will now prepare for their test against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, SouthWest Edgecombe walloped Washington (Washington, NC), 52-50, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Farmville Central for a non-league test on Friday, February 10. North Pitt will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 76-65 non-league loss to Greene Central (Snow Hill, NC). The Jaguars record now stands at 13-2.
