The Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles basketball team scored 33 points and held the host Cair Paravel Lions to 21 in the Eagles league triumph on Wednesday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kansas City Christian School for a Kaw Valley contest on Friday, February 9. Maranatha Christian Academy will meet a Panthers team coming off a 38-30 non-league win over Central Heights (Richmond, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 8-5.

The Lions (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Veritas Christian (Lawrence, KS). The Eagles enter the Freelance contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Veritas Christian was outscored by Baldwin (Baldwin, KS), 42-31, in a league contest.
