In Friday's league contest, the visiting Blue Valley North Mustangs basketball team scored a close 52-45 win over the St. James Academy Thunder.

The Mustangs (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against St. James Academy (Lenexa, KS). The Thunder come into the Eastern Kansas contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, St. James Academy edged Maranatha Christian Academy (Shawnee, KS), 84-23, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunder battle the Blue Valley North Mustangs (Overland Park, KS) in a Eastern Kansas contest, on Friday, February 7.
