The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) and the host Valor Preparatory Academy Owls (Concord, NC), observed Carolina International's basketball team overwhelm Valor Preparatory Academy by a margin of 85-59.
The Comets (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Stallions come into the 1A Metro 8 challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Queen's Grant trounced Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC), 99-54, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Owls battle the Covenant Classical Warriors (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Valor Preparatory Academy will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 76-32 league loss to Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy (Mooresville, NC).
