In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Chatfield Gophers basketball team scored a close 63-62 triumph over the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons.
The Gophers (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Triton (Dodge Center, MN). The Cobras go into the AA Section 1 contest with a 19-5 record. In their last contest, Triton nipped Hayfield (Hayfield, MN), 93-50, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Falcons battle the Lewiston-Altura Cardinals (Lewiston, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Wabasha-Kellogg will attempt to better on its 5-16 season record. The Cardinals go into the contest with a 15-9 record after their 72-64 league win over St. Charles (St. Charles, MN).
