The Hidalgo Pirates basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Valley View Tigers to 43 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.
The Pirates now have a 24-10 record. They play next when they travel to Jubilee Brownsville for a 4A Region IV District 32 game on Monday, February 10. Hidalgo will battle a Titans team coming off a 65-54 league win over Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX). The Titans record now stands at 15-11.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 32 challenge, on Monday, February 10. Valley View will attempt to better on its 6-18 season record. The Tarpons come into the challenge with a 15-13 record after their 63-43 league loss to La Feria (La Feria, TX).
