The New Waverly Bulldogs basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Trinity Tigers to 43 in the Bulldogs league triumph on Friday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 11-16 record. They play next when they travel to Anderson-Shiro for a 3A Region III District 23 game on Tuesday, February 11. New Waverly will play a Fighting Owls team coming off a 82-64 league loss to Onalaska (Onalaska, TX). The Fighting Owls record now stands at 16-12.

With the loss, Trinity falls to 17-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 23 game on Wednesday, February 12. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 26-7. Crockett won 56-45 in their recent league game against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX)
