North Carolina High School Basketball - South Stokes triumphant over Starmount

February 7, 2025: Walnut Cove, NC 27052

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) and the visiting Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC), observed South Stokes's basketball team overwhelm Starmount by a score of 80-57.

The Sauras (20-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Stokes (Danbury, NC). The Vikings come into the 1A Northwest challenge with a 13-10 record. In their last challenge, North Stokes was routed by East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 76-53, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) in a 1A Northwest challenge, on Monday, February 10. Starmount will attempt to improve on its 3-19 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 64-55 league loss to Elkin (Elkin, NC).
