The George Wythe Maroons bounced the host Auburn Eagles basketball squad by a final score of 70-39 in Friday's league outing.
Next, the Maroons face the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, February 8. George Wythe will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Black Raiders enter the outing with a 17-1 record after their 63-47 league win over Eastside (Coeburn, VA).
The Eagles (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against Grayson County (Independence, VA). The Blue Devils enter the Mountain Empire outing with a 10-9 record.
