North Carolina High School Basketball - Chase routed by Polk County

Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 68-13 in a league match.

With the victory, Polk County advances its record to 18-1 on the year. The Wolverines travel to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC) to face the Cavaliers in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match on Tuesday, February 11. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 10-13. East Rutherford won 55-49 in their recent league match against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC)

The Trojans now own a 3-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Patton for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 match on Tuesday, February 11. Chase will face a Panthers squad coming off a 37-18 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 4-18.
