In Friday's league contest, the Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) soccer team edged the host Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), by a count of 1-0.
Next, the Spartans face the Burleson Elks (Burleson, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 8 contest, on Tuesday, February 11. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 9-0 season record. The Elks enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 2-1 league win over Seguin (Arlington, TX).
The Owls (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Everman (Everman, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region 1 District 8 contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Everman was nipped by Cleburne (Cleburne, TX), 9-1, in a league contest.
