In Friday's non-league contest, the host William Monroe Dragons basketball team scored a good 53-42 triumph over the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks.
The Dragons (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 2-17 record. In their last contest, Rockbridge County was toppled by Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA), 42-23, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Blue Streaks confront the Broadway Gobblers (Broadway, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Harrisonburg will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Gobblers go into the contest with a 6-12 record after their 40-25 non-league loss to East Rockingham (Elkton, VA).
