North Carolina High School Basketball - Lakewood thwarts Hobbton

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) and the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), observed Lakewood's basketball team knock off Hobbton by a score of 55-37.
The Leopards (10-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 3-14 record. In their last challenge, Neuse Charter was knocked off by Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC), 47-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Hobbton will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 65-42 league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC).
