The Monument Mountain Spartans (Great Barrington, MA) basketball nipped the host South Hadley Tigers (South Hadley, MA), 53-50 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Spartans (14-2) will now prepare for their test against Lenox Memorial (Lenox, MA). The Millionaires go into the non-league test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, Lenox Memorial was tipped by Frontier Regional (South Deerfield, MA), 58-49, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 11-6 record. They play next when they host Hoosac Valley for a Bi-County - East test on Friday, February 10. South Hadley will encounter a Hurricanes squad coming off a 66-35 non-league loss to Wahconah Regional (Dalton, MA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 8-6.
