North Carolina High School Basketball - Lee County crushes Jordan-Matthews

February 8, 2023: Sanford, NC 27330

Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 60-20 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lee County upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Yellow Jackets travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to clash with the Cavaliers in a 3A/4A Conference 24 bout on Friday, February 10. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 5-15. Southern Lee lost 55-28 in their recent league bout against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)

Next up, the Jets clash with the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 14 bout, on Friday, February 10. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to upgrade on its 0-21 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 41-19 non-league win over Eno River (Hillsborough, NC).
