North Carolina High School Basketball - Carolina International crushes Queen's Grant

February 8, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105

Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), 81-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Carolina International upgrades its record to 15-7 on the campaign. The Comets host Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC) to play the Owls in a 1A Metro 8 bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 11-9. Valor Preparatory Academy won 89-47 in their recent non-league bout against NorthPoint Christian Academy (Waxhaw, NC)

Next up, the Stallions play the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) in a 1A Metro 8 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Queen's Grant will attempt to upgrade on its 13-14 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 16-4 record after their 69-54 non-league win over Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC).
