The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) basketball crushed the host Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), 82-40 in Thursday's league test.
The Cavaliers (20-1) will now prepare for their test against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Blue Demons go into the non-league test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Christiansburg was trounced by Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA), 62-51, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 3-17 record. They play next when they host Floyd County for a Three Rivers test on Friday, February 9. Patrick County will encounter a Buffaloes squad coming off a 65-51 league loss to Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 14-6.
