In Thursday's non-league outing, the Spring Creek Gators (Seven Springs, NC) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC), by a margin of 54-33.
The Gators (7-12) will now prepare for their outing against Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Neuse outing with a 5-13 record. In their last outing, Princeton was trounced by Goldsboro (Goldsboro, NC), 68-20, in a league outing.
The Wildcats now own a 0-17 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a 1A Carolina outing on Friday, February 9. Hobbton will clash with a Leopards squad coming off a 48-39 league loss to North Duplin (Calypso, NC). The Leopards record now stands at 7-10.
