Lyndon Institute Vikings (Lyndon Center, VT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Montpelier Solons (Montpelier, VT), 47-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Lyndon Institute upgrades its record to 13-1 on the season. The Vikings host North Country Union (Newport, VT) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 10. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 14-1. North Country Union won 70-35 in their recent non-league bout against U-32 (Montpelier, VT)

Next up, the Solons clash with the Randolph Ghosts (Randolph, VT) in a Capital bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Montpelier will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Ghosts go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 71-33 non-league win over Woodstock (Woodstock, VT).
